据说很多明星大腕儿最初都是从“跑龙套”开始的，还说要在某位名导演的戏里跑龙套都是要排队的。由此可见，每个光鲜亮丽的成就背后都多少有一段“龙套”经历。其实，在我们周围就有很多很多“龙套”，有时候我们自己就是其中之一，每天不停walk on and off，却不知终了谢幕在何时。

Walk-on refers to an actor, who plays a very small part, usually without any lines, in a film. In most cases, this person is just 'walking on' and off.

But in daily conversations, it refers to anyone who only plays a bit role such as a utility man or a general handyman in any event, project or business.
