    表示不指明替代任何特定名词的代词。英语中有以下不定代词：all, each, every, both, either, neither, one, none, little（a little）， few（a few）， many, much, other, another, some, any, no。还有由some, any, no和every构成的代词。下面就最常用的部分不定代词作比较和说明。
    1. both是指“两者都”，而all则是指“三者或三者以上都”。例如：
    Both of your parents are teachers. 你父母都是老师。
    All of us are going to visit Hainan.
    但all还可以组成固定短语all day，all this，all the time等。
    2. either，neither
    either是指“两者之中任何一个……”属于部分否定，而neither则是“两者之中一个也不……”属于全部否定。
    Either of you will go. 你两人中任何一人去都可以。
    Neither of the answers is right. 两个答案都不对。
    而either还可出现在否定句子里，可与neither进行句型转换。例如：
    Tom hasn't been to America, Jim hasn't, either.
    →Neither Tom nor Jim has been to America.
    而neither（nor）也可用于表示“也不……”，构成“neither（nor）+表示时态的助动词+主语”的句式。例如：
    Kate didn't go to the cinema, neither did I.
    3. little（a little），few（a few）都表示一些，a little与little修饰不可数名词，a few，few修饰可数名词。a little，a few是肯定，相当于some，any。little和few是表示否定，“几乎没有”。例如：
    There is a little milk left in the bottle.
    There are few students in the classroom, they are on the playground.
    4. every, each
    every和each都是强调每一个，every作定语修饰名词。each可作主语、同位语等。例如：
    The bus comes every ten minutes.
    Each of us has a new bike.
    every常用词组有：every little while，every other day，every now and then等。
    5. some, any
    some, any都表示“一些”，既可以修饰可数名词，又可以修饰不可数名词，some用于肯定句中，any用于疑问句、否定句和条件从句中，但some可以用于疑问句中表示请求、建议、反问等。例如：
    -Would you like some coffee?
    -No, thanks.
    6. 由some, any, no, every组成的不定代词
    some      something   someone    somebody   somewhere
    any       anything    anyone    anybody    anywhere
    no        nothing     none      nobody     nowhere
    every     everything everyone   everybody everywhere

    近年来，有关代词的重点考查内容主要有：物主代词、反身代词、不定代词。
    1. 物主代词的考查
    -Is this bike ________ ?
    -No, mine isn't here. I think it's ________ .
    A. your; his        B. yours; his
    C. yours; her       D. your; hers
    该题主要考查学生选择使用形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代词的能力。它们的区别在于后面是否有名词：有名词则用形容性物主代词，没有名词则用名词性物主代词。但his既是形容词性物主代词又是名词性物主代词。本题两空均要填名词性物主代词，故选B。
    2. 反身代词的考查
    Please help ________ to some cakes, Tom and Jim.
    习惯用语help oneself to something表示“随便吃点什么”。
    本题主要考查反身代词的单、复数形式及其用法，由于Tom and Jim是两个人，故填yourselves。
    3. 不定代词的考查
    Both the two boys are new here. I don't know ______ of them
    A. both            B. all
    C. either           D. any
    本题考查不定代词。all，any通常用于代替三者或三者以上的人或事物，因本题涉及的人是两个人，所以首先可排除B和D两项。又依据题意，两个男孩应都不认识，故选C。
    I'm sorry I'm late. There is ________ with my bike.
    A. anything wrong   B. something wrong
    C. wrong anything  D. wrong something
    复合不定代词something, anything, nothing等的定语要后置，先排除C、D两项，又因为题目是肯定陈述句，而anything应用于否定句或一般疑问句，故选B。
