春节过后，“用工荒”成为各方热议焦点，在劳动力供给充足的中国，“民工潮”的印记还清晰可见，“用工荒”转眼便汹涌来袭。对此有关专家表示，中国在未来40年内劳动力供给都将是充足的。

未来40年中国“劳动力储备充足”——国务院人口问题顾问表示，中国虽然存在人口老龄化问题，但由于未来40年内劳动力供给充足，因此中国仍将保持发展势头。

上文中的labor supply就是指“劳动力供给”，也被形象地称为labor pool，即“劳动力储备”。“劳动力”也称为labor force，如果labor supply（劳动力供给） 远远小于labor demand（劳动力需求），就会演变成labor shortage（用工荒）；反之则体现为labor surplus /redundance（劳动力过剩）。从人口统计趋势看，中国逐步迈入aging society（老龄化社会），因此labor market（劳动力市场）将是我国面临的一大挑战。

值得一提的是，pool这个词形象地描绘出了人员、资源集中的状态，类似的说法还有talent pool（人才库）、forex reserve pool（外汇储备库）、data pool（数据库）、gene pool（基因库）等等。油价看涨后，不少上班族上下班选择car pooling/sharing（拼车），不失为一种既时尚，又环保的选择。
