开车违章，扣分有新规定了。从4月1日开始，交通违法行为记分分值出现调整，酒后驾车等行为由一次记6分调整为记12分。也就是说，酒后驾驶将面临吊销驾照的“极刑”。

按照新规定的扣分办法，在高速公路上倒车、逆行、（穿越中央分隔带）调头的司机也将面临更严厉的处罚——直接扣掉12分。

目前我们检查司机是否在drunk driving（醉酒驾车），主要采用检测blood alcohol level（血液酒精浓度）的方法。此外，文中还出现了三种此次新增加的直接扣掉12分的违章行为：reverse（倒车）、drive the wrong way（逆行）、make a U-turn（掉头），也就意味着司机在高速路上出现上述行为后，将会被直接扣留driving license（驾驶执照）。
