不定代词是用来泛指人或事物的代词，大多数兼有名词和形容词的功能。初中英语中常见的不定代词有：some，any，each，every，no，none，all，both，many，much，a lot of，lots of，another，other(s),the other(s),(a)few，(a)little，one, ones，neither，either以及由some，any，no，every 构成的复合不定代词。
