    用来修饰比较级的副词及副词短语有：much, many, even, still, far, rather, a lot, a little, a bit, a great deal, by far, no, any等。
    注意：(1) by far还可以修饰最高级；
    (2) no和any 用于否定句、疑问句中；
    (3) 比较级前不能用very, too, quite, fairly等副词修饰。
    考例3：-How did you find your visit to the museum?
          -I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was ________ than I expected.
    A. far more interesting     B. even much interesting
    C. so more interesting       D. a lot much interesting
    考例4： If there were no examinations, we should have ________ at school.
    A. the happiest time         B. a more happier time
    C. much happiest time       D. a much happier time
    简析：考例3题干中than 已经提示出横线上应使用比较级，interesting 的比较级形式为 more interesting，B和D项中的much加形容词不是比较级形式，C项中的so不能修饰比较级，答案为A。
    考例4中have a good/happy time 是一个惯用法，much用来修饰比较级。此题应选D。
