    (1) 学习V-ing形式作宾语，首先要弄清V-ing形式能作哪些动词的宾语，哪些动词后接不定式作宾语。中学教科书中能用V-ing形式作宾语的动词有：suggest, finish, practise, imagine, understand, mind, enjoy, delay, consider, escape, miss, appreciate, allow, permit, forbid, advise等；能接不定式作宾语的动词有：decide, hope, promise, offer, agree, plan, manage, refuse, learn, intend等。
    (2) 还要注意英语中有的动词或短语动词既可用V-ing形式作宾语，也可用不定式作宾语，而且意义差别很大。如：go on, can't help, mean, remember, forget, regret, try, stop等。例如：
    I can't help do housework today. I am busy preparing a report. （不能帮忙做家务）
    I couldn't help thinking of my childhood while seeing the film. （禁不住想起我的童年）
    I remember seeing her once somewhere. 我记得在哪里见过他。（动作发生过）
    You must remember to post the letter for me. 你一定记住把信给我寄出去。（动作没有发生）
    I forget being paid. 我忘记了付过我的报酬了。（动作发生过）
    Sorry, I forget to lock the door. 对不起，我忘记锁门了。（动作没有发生）
    I regret not having accepted your advice. 我后悔没听你的劝告。（对发生了的事表示后悔）
    I regret to say I haven't given you enough help. 我很遗憾的说我没给你充分的帮助。（对……表示遗憾）
    We must try to finish the work on time. 我们必须设法准时完成这项工作。
    Let's try working out the maths problem in another way. 让我们试试用另外一种方法算出这道数学题。
    (3) V-ing形式的复合结构（V-ing形式的逻辑主语 + V-ing形式）作宾语时，V-ing形式的逻辑主语既可用名词或代词的所有格，也可用名词的普通格和代词的宾格。例如：
    Would you mind my (me) opening the window? 你介意我把窗户打开吗？
    (4) V-ing形式不仅能作动词的宾语，还能作介词的宾语, 它常可用在某些短语动词的后面，如：look forward to, insist on, think of, be / get used to, devote to, be busy (in), be fond of, feel like, spent... in / on, give up, prevent / stop / keep...from, succeed in, depend on, pay attention to, be worth等等。
