    (1) 时间状语从句的引导词有：after, before, as, when, while, as soon as, once, till, until, since（自从）等。例如：
    After she was told that her daughter got sick, she hurried back home. 有人告诉她她女儿生病后，她急急忙忙赶回了家。
    The train had pulled out before he arrived at the railway station. 他到达火车站前，火车就已经出站了。
    A group of children were singing as they were walking to school. 一群孩子们一边走着上学，一边唱歌。
    While / When in New York, Mr. Li learned much English. 李先生在纽约时，学了不少英语。
    I'll tell him to call back as soon as he comes back. 他一回来，我就告诉他回电话。
    Once you are in the lab, you should follow your teacher's instructions. 一旦进了实验室，就应该听从老师的指导。
    The boy waited for me till / until I came back. 那男孩一直等到我回来。
    The teacher didn't go to bed until he finished preparing his lessons.直到备完课老师才上床睡觉。
    He has been watching TV since 5:00 pm. 他从下午5点就开始看电视。
    (2) 学习时间状语从句应注意的问题。
    1) as, when, while
    as引导的从句中，强调主句和从句的动作同时发生。常译为“一边……一边……”。例如：
    Helen heard the story as she washed clothes. 海伦一边洗衣服一边听故事。
    when引导的从句中，谓语动词既可是延续性动词，也可是非延续性动词，表示主句的动作和从句中的动作同时或几乎同时发生。例如：
    I will dissuss this with you when we meet. 我们见了面再讨论这个问题。
    while引导的从句中，谓语动词必须是延续性动词，强调主句和从句的动作同时发生。例如：
    While I'm writing this, you can be doing something else. 我写这个的时候你可以做点别的事情。
    2) till, until
    如果主句中的谓语动词是延续性动词，主句应使用肯定句，表示“直到……为止……”；如果主句中的谓语动词是非延续性动词，主句应使用否定句，表示“直到……才……”。
    Let's wait until (till) the rain stops. 让我们等到雨停吧。
    I didn't go to bed until my parents came back. 昨天晚上直到我父母回来我才上床睡觉。
    3) be about to do...when...“正要做某事正在这时……”。在此句式中，when不能用as或while替换。
    4) 连词before的特殊用法。
