说到“死胡同”，我想大家都明白是什么意思。我们常常会说“某人进了死胡同”，意即“某人前面没有出路了”，he is in a blind alley.

blind alley就是英语中用来表达“死胡同”的说法，有时候也会用到dead end这个表达，均表示“(路等)走不通，没有前途（希望）”等意思，说得极端一点也可以理解为“绝路，绝境”。
