我的一个好朋友经常把“根本不可能”挂在嘴边，我说点什么她都说“根本不可能”，那种脱口而出的样子真是气死人。可是我也不示弱，拿李宁的广告词“一切皆有可能”来回敬她。不过斗嘴归斗嘴，“毫无可能”在英语中怎么说呢？那就是“not a ghost of a chance”。

Ghost在这里的意思不是“鬼”，它后面接“of something”组成“ghost of something”，意思是“一点、一丝”。“Not a ghost of a chance”就是没有一点机会，也就是毫无可能。“Ghost of”后面还可以接其它词，比如“a ghost of a smile”（一丝微笑）。
