五一假期即将来临，上海世博会事务协调局做出重要提示：按照票务方案，5月1日、5月2日、5月3日去上海世博园参观必须持有当天日期的指定日门票，普通平日门票不能入园参观。

The Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination reminds visitors that May 1-3 are designated days. Only visitors with a ticket valid for one or more of these three days can enter the Expo Garden. Those with standard day tickets will be denied entry.

上海世博会事务协调局提醒游客，5月1日至3日是指定日，在这三天中游客只有持指定日有效的门票才能进世博园参观，持普通平日门票的游客不能入园参观。

在上面的报道中，designated days即“指定日”，而standard day tickets指的是“平日门票”。Standard在这里的意思是“普通的，通常的”，例如：a standard brand of coffee（一种普通牌子的咖啡）。指定日门票可以在包括指定日和平日在内的184天凭票参观游览。而平日门票只能在除了指定日的其余167天去参观游览。 “指定日门票”也被称为Peak Day ticket，因为指定日的客流量会比较大。另外，世博会还会面向老年人或在校学生等人群提供designated/peak day special ticket（指定日优惠票）和standard dayspecial ticket（平日优惠票）。

为了方便游客参观，世博园园区还将实行universal ticket system（一票通用制度）以及reservation service（预约服务）。上海地铁本月推出了one-day travel cards或one-day tickets（一日票）以满足短期来沪旅行参观游客的需求，未来世博会园区还将推出multi-day travel cards（多日门票）和multiple-use travel cards（多次门票）。
