The phrase “sucker punch” originally comes from boxing, it means to hit, to punch, someone when their guard is down, when they are not ready. In football a sucker punch means a goal that is scored when the other team wasn’t prepared: they give an easy goal away.

Sucker punch这个说法最早来自于拳击运动，指在对方毫无防备的时候突然出拳。在足球比赛中，sucker punch指的就是在对手没有任何防范的时候进的球：对方很轻易就放过了那个球。
