民航局有关人士最近透露，2008年到2009年，民航局曾在民航系统对飞行人员的资质进行了全面检查，查出来飞行经历不实，甚至飞行经历造假的达200多人。

A spokesperson with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) confirmed the figure of more than 200 pilots who falsified their flying histories, adding that all those found with fake resumes have been punished accordingly.

在上面的报道中，falsify flying histories是“伪造飞行履历”，也就是“飞行资质造假”，含有这样信息的resume自然就是fake resume（虚假简历）了。Falsify是“伪造”的意思，例如：They suspected that he had been falsifying the accounts.（他们怀疑他一直在做假账。）

此次民航总局在检查个航空公司的时候，除了针对飞行资质造假现象提出处罚外，同时还对一些公司relaxed inner controls（内部管理松散）以及 lack of supervision over the airlines（对航线缺少监督）等问题提出批评。

如今造假之风也蔓延到了大学校园，academic cheating（学术造假）现象变得普遍。为了评定academic rank（职称）而造假也已经成为hidden rule（潜规则）。
