文中的rights in newsgathering就是指“采访权”。这里的newsgathering就是指“新闻采访”，相关的行为也就是newsgathering activities。新闻出版总署表示，新闻机构对issues related to national and public interests（涉及国家利益、公共利益的事件）有right to know, interview, publish, criticize and supervise（知情权、采访权、发表权、批评权、监督权）。
