SINGAPORE, July 4 (Xinhua) -- DigiPen, a famous game development school, opened its third campus also its only one outside the United States in Singapore on Friday.
New Singapore campus of the DigiPen Institute of Technology will offer two bachelor degrees in game development to about its first cohort of 40 students in September.
It plans to take in about 570 students within five years, of which 40 percent will come from overseas.
Speaking at the opening, Singapore's Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang said, "As the first top foreign institution in Singapore offering courses in games and animation, DigiPen Singapore will play an integral role in addressing the digital media industry's manpower capability needs."
